In 2024, Grownup T1Ds reached hundreds of newly diagnosed adults and adults aging with insulin-dependent Type 1 Diabetes. And we are planning more events!

Your support is needed to help educate, encourage, and improve the mental health of adults living with Type 1 Diabetes.

This life-threatening autoimmune disease is difficult to manage. As people age, they face even more obstacles. In fact, Sandi said it best, “Thank you. I look forward to the next event. I have been alone with diabetes challenges for 45 years. It is great to find others who share this 24/7 challenge.”

Newly diagnosed at age 55, Linda shared, “It’s nice to find others like me. I am new to this and feel overwhelmed.”

Finding a support group of peers helps build encouragement and knowledge for those who are struggling emotionally with managing this 24/7 chronic condition.

Grownup T1Ds hosts in-person social support meetups. We are a small organization, primarily operated by volunteers, which keeps our costs low.

However, we cannot facilitate these events without your financial help to cover our small general operating budget and event costs.
